Activating Your MacID

The MacID is an important unique identifier students must activate prior to Residency Week. This identifier will give access to McMaster on-campus WiFi, Avenue to Learn, and McMaster e-mail.

A group photo of Residency Week participants will be taken for the cover of your 2025-2026 Student Handbook. Those wishing to not be photographed must remain outside the photographic frame at the time it is taken.

The Residency Week 1 workbook  provides initializing materials, including readings and instructions for your first Capstone Milestones.

Active MacID required for some materials.

RW1 Student MUST submit their program plan to hseds@mcmaster.ca before Friday June 6, 11:59 PM EST.

Download and save the form before filling it out.

The Residency Week 2 workbook  will guide students with information on session dates, descriptions, and content. Core readings are provided within, and in the HSED Capstone Shell on A2L.
